While we were in Maui there was ALWAYS someone offering to take group photos for us. It was just crazy. The abundance of kindness was a nice change for sure.

It was an absolutely beautiful day!

That is Molokini Crater in the background there.

Here, we have the two newlyweds from April, Kerri and Josh, along with Josh's mom, Buffy.

"Are you talkin' to me?"

Craig and TJ appear to be discussing cell phones.

In a wedding situation, the bride usually gives a lei to the mother and father of her groom and the groom will do the same for her parents. It is a way of saying "thank you for raising her or him and I will take good care and always honor and love your son or daughter." The mothers traditionally receive the fragrant Ginger or Plumeria Lei and the fathers will receive the green tea leaf lei.

Who can tell me what kind Mom Thorp is wearing below? :-)

~ CIRCLE OF LOVE ~

A lei is also a circle of love,

a circle of love that has no end.

The word for the large shell that comes from the ocean is called " Pu ."

The Hawaiian conch shell may be as large as 12 inches in length.

It is still used today as it was in the olden days to signify royalty or that an important event is about to start.

It is blown much like a trumpet is blown.

The sound vibration of the Hawaiian Pu (Conch) shell can be heard, if blown correctly, miles away.

"Don Ho" here was our musician during the ceremony.

He was actually very good.
