~ Campsite ~

24 May 2008

This is where we hung out the day before the race.
As you can see, there was a little creek running along
the back.

It was BEAUTIFUL for sure.

And not to far away from camp we have
"the ol' fishing hole"

Mike said that he hadn't been fishing in approx.
12 years but he would give it a try.

His dad felt he may need some additional
instruction.

There was even a playground.

Kian seems to be enjoying himself.

My new buddy, Audrey, kept me on my toes.

I couldn't believe all the GREEN!!!
I LOVE IT!!!

The first few days we were here I couldn't stop
sneezing... I think all the clean air was a shock
to my system. It was great. :-)

(above) Site of future garden.

And all the grass!!!
The only maintenance the grass requires is to be mowed.
I am soooo jealous.

I miss all of the green already.

~ Field of Flowers ~

Definitely NOT something you see every day...
at least not in AZ. :-)

Michael was kind enough to get refreshments.

Honestly, I really have no idea who is driving in any of the pictures below.
I kept trying to get a picture of Danica's car but just wasn't fast enough. LOL!

Indianapolis 500 Winner = Scott Dixon
He did not know he had won. That is how dialed in Scott Dixon was Sunday as he worked his way to victory in the Indianapolis 500. He did not see the checkered flag drop and so he crossed the start-finish line and roared into Turn 1 flat, thinking he still had more laps to go. "I didn't know it was the last lap," he said Thursday afternoon. "The team hadn't said anything. I heard, 'Bring it home.' But I felt that was just because we had some clear track. ... Then they came on the radio and said, 'You just won the Indianapolis 500.' That's when you're like, 'Oh, my God.' You just can't believe it. ... It was crazy."
